Inside the kennel, a large Great Dane — white with light patches — stands quietly near the gate. Head low. Tail moving slowly. No barking. A young couple walks into frame. The girl in short denim shorts and a loose top steps forward toward the kennel. The boy stays slightly behind her. She takes a small key from her hand and unlocks the metal latch. The gate makes a clear metal sound as it opens. She steps back slightly. The Great Dane slowly walks out of the kennel toward her. Heavy but calm steps. He looks directly at her. When he reaches her, he lifts his front paws gently onto her arms. She sits down on the floor while holding him tightly around the neck and starts crying. The boy kneels beside them and places his hand softly on the dog’s back. The Great Dane presses his head into her chest and stays still. Only normal shelter sounds. End quietly.
