A sudden, deafening silence cuts the music. The cold light vanishes. The protagonist stands alone. The Crimson Cloak is gone, replaced by a stationary, wall-like cloud of crimson mist or gas (the "алый газ"/scarlet gas) that doesn't move. The protagonist's expression is one of exhausted, hollow resolve. They turn and walk away, the camera staying on the eerie, frozen scarlet wall. The final shot: a close-up of the protagonist's eye in the darkness, a single crack of light still visible in their iris. Fade to black.
