Real UK Greyhound shelter corridor. Kennels on both sides. Bright fluorescent lighting. Clear wall text behind one kennel reads: “GREYHOUND.” Phone held at chest height, slight natural shake. A tall fawn-colored Greyhound stands alone inside the kennel near the front. Head low. Body still. Quiet. A couple walks past while talking softly. The boy suddenly stops and says quietly, “Wait…” They both turn back toward the kennel. The Greyhound slowly lifts his head and looks directly at them. The kennel gate is slightly open. The Greyhound steps out slowly, then begins running toward them. His nails make light tapping sounds on the floor. He slides slightly as he stops in front of the girl. The girl kneels down immediately. The Greyhound presses his body against her and rests his head against her chest. She wraps her arms around his neck and starts crying. The boy kneels beside them and gently places his hand on the dog’s back. Only normal shelter sounds. End quietly.
