Inside the kennel, a large Great Dane — white with light patches — stands near the gate. Head lowered. Tail moving slowly. Quiet. A young couple walks into frame. The girl in short denim shorts and a loose top steps closer to the kennel. The boy pauses a few steps behind her. She takes a key from her hand and unlocks the metal latch. The gate opens with a clear metal sound. She pulls it open fully. The Great Dane slowly walks out toward her. Calm, heavy steps. Eyes fixed on her. When he reaches her, he gently places his front paws onto her arms. She sits down on the floor and wraps her arms around his neck, crying. The boy kneels beside them and rests his hand on the dog’s back. The Great Dane presses his head into her chest and stays still. Only normal shelter sounds. End quietly.
