Cinematic non-POV short film. Nighttime. Heavy smoke fills a partially collapsed building. A trained rescue dog moves slowly through debris, nose to the ground. The dog suddenly stops. It turns its head and begins digging frantically. Cut to a firefighter watching from a distance, frozen. The dog pulls back a torn piece of fabric. A human hand is revealed beneath the rubble — still. The firefighter rushes forward. The dog sits down beside the hand and waits. Sirens grow louder.
