In a seemingly abandoned, massive building, which serves as a front, Kaizo and his friend Aoki (a daring field cop) investigate: repeated petty thefts, small-scale drug trafficking, and then a clever, non-violent bank robbery. Kaizo notices a strange pattern: "These aren't isolated crimes… it's a test." The first indirect confrontation. A gang member smiles and whispers, "The smartest detectives fall... when we touch their families." A clear threat, without violence. A camera closes up to Kaizo's eyes... silent, but his anger is palpable.
