Cinematic non-POV short film. Opening frame: a firefighter stands outside a burning building at night, frozen in place. A dog is already in frame, sitting calmly in front of him. Sirens echo. Firelight flickers across the dog’s face. The firefighter looks down at the dog. The dog slowly stands up and takes a few steps toward the building — then stops and looks back. The firefighter hesitates… then follows. Inside, smoke fills the hallway. The dog stops at a doorway where a trapped person is visible. Cut to outside: the person is safe. Final shot: the firefighter kneels. The dog sits beside him, unmoving.
