A lion was chasing an antelope along a sheer cliff. The antelope stood at the edge, and the lion leaped down. Yet the antelope remained motionless. Mid-air, the lion extended its claws but failed to grasp the antelope. Then it plummeted downward, falling for what seemed like an eternity before crashing onto a platform. After bouncing off, it continued its descent, but it kept falling and falling. Below lay an endless, empty desert, and no matter how long it fell, it never reached the bottom.
