The girl in short denim shorts and a loose top steps forward toward the kennel. The boy stays slightly behind her. She takes a small key from her hand and unlocks the metal latch. The gate makes a clear metal sound as it opens. She steps back slightly. The Great Dane slowly walks out of the kennel toward her. Heavy but calm steps. He looks directly at her.
