A tired boy (18, athletic, hoodie) sits on a bench, breathing heavily, looking down. Calm, distant. From across the gym, the most aggressive boy suddenly throws a basketball. The ball flies fast and hits the seated boy on the head. Clear impact. A brief moment of silence. Laughter breaks out. Students laugh. The throwing boy laughs and walks closer. THROWING BOY (mocking, enjoying it): “Wow…” “Did you feel that?” “Guess you really do have a hard head.” He smirks. “That might actually come in handy for us.” The seated boy does not react.
